Teens Playing Disturbing New Game Called “Knockout” [Video]
A new ‘game’ has gone viral and has teenagers physically assaulting random people as friends stand by. The new fad called “Knockout” has swept the nation and caused alarm among civilians.
Three teens who were arrested and accused of beating a homeless man to death in Hoboken, New Jersey are suspected to have been playing the sick new game “Knockout”, according to CBS News.
In “Knockout”, a person randomly chooses someone to punch as hard as possible; the goal being to successfully knock the person unconscious, and often taking the victim’s belongings.
“Knockout is a game that a lot of our teenagers play, just where they dare one of the guys to just randomly choose anybody walking down the street,” A man told CBS News in an interview.
This disturbing new trend is sometimes filmed by the dared adolescent’s friends and uploaded to the internet, but can be used as evidence since the game is considered assault.
Kappa teacher James R. Addlespurger fell victim to the new fad when he was knocked by a teen escorted by a group of his peers. The teen is seen delivering a blow without warning or provocation as his friends laugh and celebrate the successful punch.
