Teen Injects Flesh Eating Drug Krokodil Into Genitals
We’ve all been teenagers before (well, all of us who are twenty years old and up), and during our teenage years many of us did some pretty stupid things. Temptation and peer pressure led some of us to bad decisions and many of us suffered the negative consequences of those decisions for years afterward.
However, today’s teens live in a different world, and with substances like the Russian originated drug Krokodil, which actually eats the user’s flesh, those bad decisions can lead to a lot worse things than smoking a joint, eating a box of Twinkies and then going to sleep. Especially when you inject the flesh eating drug into your genitals!
It has been reported that a 17 year old female in Mexico has injected the highly addictive and highly damaging, flesh eating drug Krokodil into her genitals. The incident took place in the city of Puerto Vallarta.
The incident allegedly led to a “rotting of her genitals” according to an American media outlet who translated the story from the Mexican paper El Periodico Correo. The report was made by José Sotero Ruiz Hernández, an official with Mexico’s National Institute of Migration.
The drug Krokodil is made by cooking crushed codeine pills with household chemicals. It is a “poor man’s” version of heroine but it is much more damaging and ten times as potent. It originated in Russia several years back during hard, economic conditions. The usage of Krokodil reached record numbers in Russia in 2011 when it was reported that 1 million people were addicted to it, but there’s been no reported cases of its use in the U.S. since 2004.
