[WATCH] “I Am Second” Video Reveals Darker Side of Duck Dynasty

Duck Dynasty’s beloved frontman Phil Robertson is taking time out to tell people about an idea known as “I Am Second“, in which people are encouraged to live their lives for God, putting themselves second to him, as well as living your life for others.

The “I am Second” video is nearly 30 minutes in length, covering many personal stories of daily struggles. If you don’t have the time for the full length feature, please take the time to review at least the initial 3 minutes….you’ll be glad you did.

  • Justin Martin

I have no respect for slaves.

  • ramrod

Michelle Wright, you are confused about the truth.

Nothing wrong with putting the One who created you FIRST, as it SHOULD be! Confusing good for evil is not something you want to do!

  • http://www.midnightmanicures.com/ Jeanie Barbee

Love this, it gave me chills.

  • cdreekfreak

God bless ya folks ,about time Christians were given a voice

  • Delilah

No, I think she’s pretty dead on target “ramrod”. Putting God or anyone else first doesn’t hurt anyone but the SELFISH ASSHOLES of this world.

  • bob

Slaves? What video did you watch?

  • violet102094

This really just inspired me. I didn’t think anyone could inspire me in that sense, but you guys managed to do it. You inspired me more than I could ever think of. :)

  • Lee P. South

I do believe that if each of us were to openly give God the glory for the blessings he provides us, it would be much more common to hear the good news that is possible in the testimony of a god filled life.

  • le

God bless and keep you. Christians must stand tall. wear your cross, pray in public, even if you never have before and yes wear your gun./

  • Marge Jones

Thank you for your testimony. Sing my soul, the glory of the Lord!

  • beachbrat

I have to say I love Duck Dynasty. I have allowed some so-called Christians to turn me away from Jesus, but this has softened my heart. Thank you.

  • cowboy25actual

outstanding! Jesus is lord and ill make sure I watch you guy,Mr Robinson tell them you gonna say Jesus at the dinner table again. I really enjoy this!

  • Blaine Smith

    Love it.

  • Neil Moyer

Why does it say “Darker Side?” The title should have said perhaps “the human side?” I was not much of a Duck Dynasty fan before but after watching this I think I am going to start watching the show.

  • Johnnyg

Wow that was awe inspiring not enough people talk or believe this way if they do they are hiding it and not professing it …..

  • Dawwger

    Great and powerful…Thank you Jesus!

  • Delilah

It was titled that way because that is how Phil has decribed his past in previous interviews.

  • BMWTwisty

Oh, man, +11! What a great story behind a great story.

  • The_Truth_Will_Set_You_Free

    Awesome! Great message!

  • Luke Walker

Freedom is not the ability to have no masters. It is the ability to choose the one you will serve. To make no decisions is to elect a cell with no jailer.

    Phill Robertson for PRESIDENT!!!!!!!

What the poster of this video doesn’t realize is that the quote is “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” it does not say “do unto others as they have done unto you” there is no dark side to this. There is no treatment of others out of retribution. Treat other people the way you want to be treated. It’s as simple as that.

  • Bill Harbaugh

God is good all the time,
all the time God is good!

  • Mel Rey

I don’t need the God’s to be generous or kind to people. I don’t need the God’s to be properly moral or to help those in need. It’s rather disgusting to only place generosity and expectations from ones God’s. We beings are all equal, no matter shade, ethnicity, religion, age or class status. We were given the chance to grow with the proper common sense to treat others as equals, with kindness, to not judge or hate, and to respect their choices.
I was born a Catholic, and religious bigots are the ones who’ve made me hesitant to even belong to a religion. When a surgeon saves a persons life from near death, I don’t thank the God’s, I thank the surgeon, who’s spend most of his youth, years and money in a school that taught him how to save people.
There is a fine line that people seems to blur or ignore when it comes to what’s expected of us, and what people expect of their God’s.
Because thank God’s all you want, in the end of the day, it’s we who were made capable of doing good and changing things for the better. To wholly depend on the supposed creators is like throwing the towel and deciding to lounge on the sofa with a drink while watching TV, hoping that our worlds distress will be put to an end if we pray enough.

  • Conrad Ryder

Interesting synopsis/teaser Michelle Wright. I’m not sure which political party you are referring to in saying “many would condemn this idea as being in line with specific political party beliefs.” If I’m reading you right though, you may have missed the enormous distinction between personal charity and government welfare. Self sacrificially giving to the needy is NOT in any way similar to coercive governmental wealth distribution. Also, Jesus’ command in it’s entirety is “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” NOT ” do unto others as they do unto you.” Once again, a very important distinction. When people, including you and I, mess up, we generally want people to show us mercy and understanding. Jesus says that if that is what we desire, that is what we should demonstrate to others. I fail to see where “retribution” plays into that scenario.

  • vegatim

I am not a religious person by any means but this video has opened my eyes and my brain. thank you for this it even brought a tear or two to my eyes thinking of things I have done in my past. and yes I do think it may be time for a change. this video has made me take notice there are other plans for me and my family in this world.

  • Jeani F Thompson

awesome testimony! What boldness! Thank you for standing up for Jesus! May God continue to bless you all abundantly!

  • Shelly Barnett

AMEN!! I am a child of God and I talk about Jesus every where I go also. Bless you! I believe God has put you where you are because our nation needs role models like you who espouse God first and Hardwork pays!!!

  • GoogIe User

i understand these people, and respect them…… but the whole religious connection is what i am still having a hard time dealing(?) with …..

  • srirachi

I’m sorry that people’s poor witness has hurt your relationship with Christ. I know I fall short often, and need to live my life for Christ every minute of every day, or else the consequences could be that someone like you falls away from Christ. On behalf of those who fail to model Christ, I apologize, and I promise to be a better testimony for Him!

  • beachbrat

Thank you. I appreciate that you care about how your life affects others, but ultimately I am responsible for my walk, too. You are part of what is drawing me back, though, and for that, we can be happy!

  • Christopher

    I would like to respond to your thoughts, not because I think you should have to defend your position to me (in fact, after this I’ll most likely never see this page again) but because a few things you wrote just stood out and I wonder if you’re aware of them. Based on your position that we were “given” a chance, “made” capable, and you mention “hesistant”, I will assume that while you feel we are in complete control you still acknowledge God’s existence. So;

    1) have you given thought to where the qualities of decency spring from? If you believe they’re innate in us from birth I ask, do children have to be taught how to lie, hit, or want everything for themselves? It’s only one example, admittedly, but I wouldn’t want to bore you with a whole laundry list. I’d like to encourage you to search the word of God to see where the qualities you mention come from.

    2) I don’t know you and yet I’m very saddened that someone who is supposed to know God has been a hiderwnce to your walk. It’s a shame, yet they, too, are flawed humans who need Him. I pray you come to realize that they are just like the rest of us and though they may fail they do not change what His message is. Think of it this way; I’m willing to bet you’ve had at least one bad experience at a restaurant. Did that stop you from ever eating out again?

    3) I work in the medical field and I can tell you without a doubt, it’s not our call whether or not someones life continues. The surgeon is given gifts from God. Gifts he is supposed to use for the Glory of Gods kingdom. Does that mean he is to witness to every patient? God says He will guide your tongue if you ask in faith, so not necesssrily. If the outcome is up to Him does that mean that surgeons job is pointless? God has a plan, use and calling for each of us we can never understand. We are given free will but He also knows the choices we will make. It’s interesting to think of what you could with that. Take this post for instance. What if His plan all along was to place you so that, knowing the path you were going to take, you would write something that would prompt me to reply these things because I’m struggling myself? The point I’m trying to make is this; I encourage you to really examine His word on calling, gifts, committing yourself to what you do, and His reign and sovereignty.

    3) God did say to have faith and trust in Him but nowhere did he say you are to do nothinge or essentially throw in the towel. We are to listen and be led. We are to walk with and learn from Him. We are to commit ourselves and our love to Him, not so that we gain a trouble-free life but so that we live in His grace.

See, we are, in fact, to depend wholly on Him. For guidance, peace, blessing and salvation. By living for Him, we can learn and be empowered to live more like Him.

    – with love

  • jonathondf

I am thinking the same thing, there is no “catch 22″ to the Golden Rule. Either the author doesn’t know what the actual Golden Rule is, or she is trying to misrepresent it to mislead people.

  • jonathondf

Delilah–ramrod is not talking about anything in the video, he is referring to the authors remark about the the “catch 22″ of the Golden Rule, there is no catch 22 to the Golden Rule, the author(Michelle), has essentially misquoted the Golden Rule, whether by accident, or on purpose. I mention the possibility of “on purpose”, because this is how the Alinsky fascists are taught to do things, just throw in small lies and/or revisionist history and many people will believe it over time.

  • Cliff E.

I would suggest reading Phil’s book, its an easy read and gives a lot of insight of his journey and a lot of good advice on life.

  • Tola

Here are words straight out of Jesus’ mouth. It’s a start for you to figure out why I need Jesus. All Glory to HIM.
Matthew 9:11-13 English Standard Version (ESV)
11 And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” 12 But when he heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 13 Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”

  • shit dick

This shit is gay as fuck. I hope you all fucking die.

  • Brad Woods

I am very shocked that the network allowed him to express himself freely. I am wondering if he did this on his own, not realizing the percussion’s of such a statement and what punishment could result from this? We live in a world that was gifted long ago to a spiritual king of lies. Telling the truth is often looked down upon in a world of fools who thrive on telling each other lies. Just look at 9/11. Thanks to the media we now have a group called the ‘Truthers’. These folks question the official story that we were told and for that they are ridiculed and called nutbags. What I question myself is that we all were told that Al-qaeda did 9/11 and now Barack Obama is/has been supporting Al-qaeda! Doesn’t that make you wonder? Hello? Are you there? Awake yet? No? OK I guess our goose has been cooked!

  • Shannon Riner

I don’t think Phil cares if the “network” let him does this or not his provider and source is God Almighty and the “network” can not hurt him and he knows this!!! Good on PHIL for telling what he is about!!

  • Rick

WHy do we listen so carefully to those who return from the wrong path and not to those who never “ran on the freeway”?

  • Jay_Dubya

I agree entirely. I would like the author to explain her statement more because I didn’t follow what she was getting at.

  • LoveMessenger

God is within each of us, and we will find God there if we are in touch with ourselves and listening. The issues only arise when we start to look outside of ourselves for God. Love yourself first. Put the work in to learn to love yourself, which involves listening to yourself. When you can do this, you can truly love another. If you put yourself second then you are cheating everyone.

  • Mike Banko

Yeah, I wish I got a tv show. I bust my ass off at work And that it what made these idiots rich.. Who did they vote for? fuking duck calls ? DEKA makes batteries.

  • cory

I think the problem when this happens to ANYONE, is that the focus got off Christ. Other people should not be the catalyst for turning anyone away from the ONE who was the perfect example. the people who fail are not the One we should be looking to. We need to stop looking to people as the example, and look to Christ…HE is unfailing, where people will always fail.

  • Darla K Shandy

  • Jeff

So I should put my mother and father first? Ok.

  • Berta Phelps Robison

I wish I could have seen the faces of everyone the day Phil was baptized! What an extraordinary day!

  • Karla Penny Whiteker

The networks always allow people to voice opinions in the hopes that they can skew it for their benefit. This is probably his copy of the taping that he wanted to share. If my memory serves me correctly they were asked to tone down the ‘Jesus thing’ on the show to which they said “Um nope”. Told the network they’d move the show elsewhere & with their huge ratings, the network backed down. Doesn’t sound like a person/family concerned with repercussions to me.

  • bubba

They didn’t hold him under long enough

  • mobilemann

thank fuck you idiots don’t actually hold enough power / sway to actually change anything but rural elections in bum fuck towns, because you guys basing your views on someone else being religious, rather than the actual content of the stories, is not only unchristian of you, it’s also idiotic.

  • Randy

What are you talking about? This is a family that was going down a very dark path. One that would probably led to neglect, abuse, and left unchecked finally divorce and you want to focus on how the country is “lucky” that people who are willing to speak to the power of God for turning not only their marriage around but their entire lives, spiritually, financially and they don’t boast and brag about what they have done. They in fact take no credit at all for the success the family has had but give all the glory to God, but you want to make it about politics, which the family made no mention of. I pray your soul will be saved one day. I pray that the people you hurt with your words forgive you and love you. This is not about politics. It’s about living right not wrong. On second thought, maybe it should be politics…Phil Robertson for President of these United States of America.

  • mobilemann

lol, how do you know they are going down a dark path? A story on free patriot? Their scripted reality TV show?

I pray you will be saved one day too, and realize you yourself have the power to make good moral decisions without a deity. I pray that the people who’s minds you poison with other’s words and directions, and false hope all forgive you.

I hope the many families your kind have destroyed in the name of religion, the outcasts, gays, the weird, the wars fought in the name of god, the angry families mad at arrogant deaths from religious idiots, i hope they all forgive you. Because you’re lost.

  • Fires Stone

The Creator is what its all about,Not Obama and his Demons here on Earth..

  • Lanie Hux

When you put God first everything else will fall into place. Trust in him and he will always provide.

  • Richard

I am sorry but if you want to bash on this please go somewhere else. No one offended you or put you down and you are not using logic to argue your stance on this issue. I will pray that you find a way to heal whatever is causing you to be angry at people who never hurt you. Finding Christ helped this family as it also helped Randy, me, and many other people. The path they were going down was harmful, painful, and lacked peace; finding Christ helped this family find peace, joy, love, and faithfulness to each other. Nobody is cutting down Atheists in this so please if you want to be angry go somewhere else to vent because despite popular belief TRUE Christians are still about peace. God bless and take care man.

  • mobilemann

I’m not bashing I have a differing ideology, is this blog only open to the faithful? Surely this doesn’t bother you, having faith?

Please let me know the specifics, what sects are acceptable to you, etc.

  • Yvonne Mem

Your rant was pathetic and uncalled for. Shame on you!!!

  • philipdickman

  • Maureen Pike

Thank you so much for your Testament God is good many blessings Robertson family

  • Raisingthebar

Mobilemann stop being such a douchbag! Go sell crazy (atheism) someplace else.

  • Shawn

Saying only watch the first 3 minutes is asinine. .. and you miss the point of this. Watch it all or don’t watch any of it.

  • Susie Barton

God first for sure, then family. That’s the way I was raised.

  • mobilemann

Ah respect for people of all faiths, the Christian way.

As if you are exactly the one to say who is and who isn’t christian. Only ONE can do that, and hunny, you aren’t Him. Thank GOD for that!

  • Jacque

You won’t be sorry you watched! It’s honest, funny, down to earth, and good old fashion common sense

  • mobilemann

I never have said I had power over anything, I just know that self identifying Christians aren’t enough in numbers anymore to control the vote outside of local stuff, in your bible belt :)

  • Stefanie Mendoza

  • immobileman

I don’t care about what your sect or beliefs are mobilemann… you are an offensive fool.

  • Dave

My friend, the Holy Bible says there will be people who refuse the truth. You may desire that for yourself, and then, that’s the way it will be. If you want to take that road, you may do so. Jesus never forces anyone to believe. Christ told us people (like you) would hate us. We understand that. You’ve made your choice. We’ve made ours. I just prayed for your soul. You can’t stop me from doing that.

  • Dave

I’m praying for you Tim. Somebody, somewhere was praying for me once too. We have all sinned and fall short of God. There is nothing we can do in our lives to earn salvation, but it is a free gift, provided for you by Christ’s death on the cross. He took your place Tim, just as he took my place and sacrificed himself so that if we are sorry about our sins and accept this perfect sacrifice, he promises to come in to our hearts, and his Spirit will indwell you and the Father will also make his home with you. He will never leave you. If you earnestly seek him, he promises to reveal himself to you. It’s for keeps….for all eternity. You can receive Him in your own short prayer. I’m praying for you.

  • Clay

mobilemann, let me ask you a simple question… What is more important, Helping others or yourself?

  • ryan miller
  • Cyndy Browne

Tell me this, why do you Atheists only attack Christians??? What about the Muslims who have killed millions more than Christians have, all in the name of their Allah? If your gonna throw stones you should probably wake up first.

  • Jason Pearson

    Truly an awesome vid.
Think they say dark side as they dont know what its like to live in the light…., praise God that we do have His Son.., that Jesus paved the way for us to come and be reconciled unto our Heavenly Father…..

  • dsturdy

Moblieman – The faceless coward spewing anger and hate. You are pathetic. You troll web sites you are opposed to in order to pick fights? What little bitch you are.

  • mobilemann

Dave, what if it’s you who’s refusing the truth? After all, hardcore conservative christians break pretty much all of the big christian themes, especially compassion.

I pray for your soul too, that you people will be more accepting of differing ideologies, I pray that you stop hating people for having differing idea’s then you.

I pray for you to accept all your brothers, as your brothers, regardless of creed, race, sexual orientation, or religion.

Things that a real christian would do. I’ve yet to talk to one on this board. And i’m being serious.

    /drops mic

  • mobilemann

Do you have reading comprehension problems? I’m sharing my views on religion. I thought christians were accepting? They seem, like yourself to be close minded bigots.

you come to a forum (a place of discussion) to only hear people with the exact same viewpoints? That’s Pathetic:(, Welcome to the internet.

  • mobilemann

Cyndy, you may not know much about christian history, but the crusades have killed more than pretty much all other holy wars.

I’m also in America, so your denomination, which wields power unworthy of your numbers, Happens to attack me as well.

I don’t mind any Religions, but when the thread comments open with stupid shit like, “thank the lord, jesus is being brought back into society” I’ll make a quip, which is all i did.

This caused about 40 of you to freak out simultaneously, and i’m reacting perfectly normally to be honest, for that situation.

    All that christian love:D

  • mobilemann

neither, you help those in need.

  • mobilemann

as usual, the people of this board miss the point! Nice burner account.

  • fedupwithitall

you obviously do not know history

your claim about crusades is false

and this is not the pulpit for your drivel

it was an uplifting story of the robertsons which you flamed because of your own personal issues

next time actually do it, rather then just say “/drops mic”

  • mobilemann

The low number is 1,000,000. (John Shertzer Hittell, “A Brief History of Culture” (1874) p.137: “In the two centuries of this warfare one million persons had been slain…”) The high number is 3,000,000. (Robertson, John M., “A Short History of Christianity” (1902) p.278.

The various conflicts spanned 236 years.

please name the holy war that has claimed more lives.

  • DandelionViolet

I’m just wondering to whom or to what you’re praying.

  • Scott P Bienvenu

actually, the crusades were in response to Muslim aggression and lslam has killed way more people than Christianity on any given day and still continues to do so. With Christianity you dont get your head cut off if u try to leave like with islam, or stone women to death, or rape women in which a women then needs male witnesses to seek justice, nor does it ban women from driving, nor does it kill gays, or other religious minorities.
You speak about intolerance, yet you lash out at someone because seeing the comment “thank the lord, jesus is being brought back into society” pissed you off. Then u insult rural towns in your comments. You can insult rural towns and the people all you want but when it comes down to it, when shtf, all those concrete big city jungles will be burned to the ground by huge number of people that are supported by the govt. People will be fighting, shooting, killing, stealing water, food and everything else they can get their hands on. However, those “Rural towns and townfolk” you slight in your comments grow their own food, have their own water wells and support themselves. We will all watch as Society breaks down in those so called great big cities as we go about our business as usual.
We keep it “Reals” around here Brah.

  • Scott P Bienvenu

Actually, the crusades were in response to muslim aggression or didnt you know that. Also,

  • mobilemann

I’m sorry, my quotes are from books, not hate sites. Please show the war that killed more, and cite sources that aren’t just hate sites.

the site you quoted is so bad, it got kicked off wordpress.

Thanks for the lesson in revisionist history, you pig.

  • mobilemann

you think beheadings, stoning, etc were never in Christianity’s history?

the bible itself isn’t even scared of it:

Judges 7:25And they took two princes of the Midianites, Oreb and Zeeb … and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon….

1 Samuel 17:57And as David returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, … [he] brought … the head of the Philistine in his hand.

2 Samuel 4:7-8And they smote him, and slew him, and beheaded him, and took his head … brought the head of Ishbosheth unto David….

2 Samuel 20:22And they cut off the head of Sheba the son of Bichri, and cast it out to Joab.

2 Kings 10:7-8[T]hey took the king’s sons, and slew seventy persons, and put their heads in baskets, and sent him them to Jezreel. And there came a messenger, and told him, saying, They have brought the heads of the king’s sons. And he said, Lay ye them in two heaps at the entering in of the gate until the morning.

You keep it real, by lying to people, and not citing sources. Pretty typical around here, Un-american cowards.

  • Scott P Bienvenu

lol, ok here: If you would have read the article in the link instead of hurrying to google to find some information to discredit the website “LMAO” you would have found all the links, books, articles with page numbers you need. Ok, you can now go ahead and go back to google and hurriedly google the books listed to find some “MORE” info to discredit the information.

Thomas Sowell [Thomas Sowell, Race and Culture, BasicBooks, 1994, p. 188] estimates that 11 million slaves were shipped across the Atlantic and 14 million were sent to the Islamic nations of North Africa and the Middle East.

The number of Christians martyred by Islam is 9 million [David B. Barrett, Todd M. Johnson,World Christian Trends AD 30-AD 2200, William Carey Library, 2001, p. 230, table 4-10] . A rough estimate by Raphael Moore in History of Asia Minor is that another 50 million died in wars by jihad. So counting the million African Christians killed in the 20th century we have:

Koenard Elst in Negationism in India gives an estimate of 80 million Hindus killed in the total jihad against India. [Koenard Elst, Negationism in India, Voice of India, New Delhi, 2002, pg. 34.] The country of India today is only half the size of ancient India, due to jihad. The mountains near India are called the Hindu Kush, meaning the “funeral pyre of the Hindus.”

Buddhists do not keep up with the history of war. Keep in mind that in jihad only Christians and Jews were allowed to survive as dhimmis (servants to Islam); everyone else had to convert or die. Jihad killed the Buddhists in Turkey, Afghanistan, along the Silk Route, and in India. The total is roughly 10 million. [David B. Barrett, Todd M. Johnson, World Christian Trends AD 30-AD 2200, William Carey Library, 2001, p. 230, table 4-1.]

BTW, i see you closed your account on PlentyofFish. No takers huh? lol, i wonder why. I guess thats why you have all this free time to rant and rave on christians eh? Gotta focus all that pent up frustration somewhere i see. I guess its tough on you being 47 years old and single. Dont give up, things will get better.

  • Scott P Bienvenu

I never said Christianity had a pure past. But unlike islam, we moved out of the stone age and into the 21st century. Something Islam has no clue about. After all, what do you expect since they follow the teachings of a mass murdering, slave owning, pedophile, nutcase that is ocd. Safudin Suhadi, thats your name right?

  • Scott P Bienvenu

If you are a muslim that would explain your hate for Christians. LOL, Islam, the most intolerable “Political Ideology” in the world. Got “Sheep”?

  • mobilemann

    I’m 32, and married:D

first, may i ask why the large discrepancies between your explanations and your numbers?

can you tell me about the specific war, rather than just jihad? I was racking it up specifically from a set of wars, which i said, you’ve just given me “any conflict ever where a mulsim may have been involved”

primarily because you’re an idiot, secondly because you are desperate for “your side” to come out looking less dirty. You aren’t interested in the truth.

    I’m sorry, you’re pathetic.

  • Scott P Bienvenu
  • mobilemann

just like a christian to much accusations with actual assumptions. How good of you. All in the name of god right? (i’m agnostic, and hate all “extreme” forms of religion)

of which, there are both radical muslims currently, and radical christians.

It’s also incredibly hypocritical for a christian to assume that because there are radical sects of muslims, all are like that.

For example, i view most of the christians who post here, to be fucking idiots, like yourself. I know that’s not the case with all christians, or muslims.

This is because i’m not a fucking idiot. Maybe one day you’ll find out what christianity is all about. Until then, enjoy being an asshole to people.

  • mobilemann

i’ve already revealed as much as i’ll reveal, and in that, i’ve said i’m not muslim, or christian, or atheist, and that’s true.

again, why are you posting now exclusively about me (personally) you have a crush?

  • Scott P Bienvenu

yes, we know you are married after a little digging. the plentyoffish was a fake profile u made. We know u are a muslim by the use of the favorite word with muslims “Pigs”. There you go nitpicking again. The bottom line is that Islam has killed way more people than Christianity EVER has no matter how u try to marginalize it by wanting to pick out a war here, a war there. You seem to want to bash christianity as being responsible for more deaths than islam and then pick out a war here or there. Doesnt work that way buddy. Taken as a Whole, islam has killed more than christianity ever has. Actually, you wouldnt know the truth if it slapped you in the face because you are tete dur. Islam has been responsible for over 20k terror attacks since 911. Dont try to feed everyone a chit sandwich and then tell us it taste good. Typical Muslim for u.

I’m sorry, you are a fete patin.

  • Scott P Bienvenu

lets remind u of the fact that the Crusades u talk about were a response only to muslim agression and taking over of lands that were christian. Islam is like a parasite, it infests a host country, uses up all the resources and turns it into garbage, then they move on to another host country to repeat process.

  • Scott P Bienvenu

lol, you post links from cnn, abc, cbs??? U mean the govt propaganda machines that makes up news??? Is that where you get all your links and information from??? jeesh, you are an even bigger idiot than i thought. Not all muslims are bad? Lets just say, the ones that arent doing what the others are doing do not understand Islam and are not following the quran. The quran teaches exactly what those nutjobs are doing. Funny how u try to be condescending and call me an idiot when my IQ is highly likely higher than yours. what would that make you??? ahhh, a “Complete” F’in Idiot. You are just another putz keyboard warrior that likes to run off at the mouth online and insult people that do not believe as you do. You enjoy confrontation as you purposefully came to this site to instigate others. I guess its the only way you can have any manhood in life is by belittling others to make yourself feel good beause to try the keyboard warrior approach in real life would only get you bytch slapped into the little man you are. Hell, i chit bigger turds than you.

  • Uknowmen76

Hilter and Stalin in WWWII. Their Atheist views killed many more Jews and Christian alike. Next

  • mobilemann

you’re questioning my sources after you quoted a site that got kicked off of wordpress for being a hate site?

I don’t get how you don’t see what a pathetic case you make, when brought with real links and sources.

How stupid are you? I’m condescending because you’re a fucking idiot, for no other reason. You make the most idiotic statements, like the koran teaches violence, but don’t remember the bible talking about decapitation, or going to hell for eating shellfish, etc.

It’s all a one way street, for your typical idiot hypocrite.

After all, only an proud conspiracy idiot would say “Yeah, all the worlds news organizations all those countries are all in together to slam the GOP”. Do you really think fox is the only one telling the truth?

  • mobilemann

WWII wasn’t about religion. it was a part of it, but no, i phrased it specifically with WWII in mind, sigh.

  • Dave

Mobilemann, you say “what if” and I say: I believe Jesus is the Son of God, and in John 14:6 He said “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the father except through me. I believe that is an absolute truth. If you don’t believe, then you don’t believe. I no longer have to worry about the “what if” question. You can, if you choose. That’s the difference. In the book of James, he writes “a double minded man is unstable in all of his ways.” I choose stability. I tried to live the world’s way and it is a way of death. That’s why I want you to have what I have. You have an eternal soul and you count. You are loved with a boundless, unending love of God and you will not be able to experience what I have if you deny Christ in your life. Without him, you will always wonder. You will always have those “what ifs” bussing around, and worst of all, there will always be a God sized hole in your life. You will always be trying to fill it with whatever you decide to stick in there, whether it be the wisdom of a thousand Universities, or love of women, or things, like cars and motorcycles, you name it. Don’t let it go, I’m so glad you asked this question. Keep asking questions. I’m still praying for you.

  • Justin McFarlane

I believe you miss understand the difference between religion and christianity mobilemann, religion is man looking for God. Christianity is God looking for man. you are mistaking man made religion for God made christianity. All the things you have been complaining about are all products of religion NOT christianity. Anyone forcing you to believe what they believe is following religion or man not Christ, Christ is love brother. Continue to spew how hateful and backwards and idiotic Christians are brother that is your right, but understand some of the smartest, kindest, and most straight forward people are Christians.

  • mobilemann

While i respectfully disagree in your definitions of religion and christianity, I do feel that you are the first genuine christian i’ve spoken to on here. (at least how I understand christianity, which i’m sure the people of this forum will take great delight in explaining to you, despite them not knowing me from anyone else, another example of how christian they are!)

Some of the most kind people i know are christians as well, there are a few sects that just make things look horrible for you. Just like with muslims:D

  • Tigger

You pray?.—To who? You hope in what yourself? Are we s’posed to pray to you now for our hope Uh oh!

  • Tigger

doesn’t seem to be ‘sharing’ anything and from the scans I’ve done thru the msgs here you seem to be spitting the venom..not most of these. While I don’t necessarily hold w/ some of the doctrinal views of these ppl. As for Christians being accepting? Hmm you don’t do too much accepting either do ya?! …But, hey lets try it your way a sec…. THey have the right to teach and share and raise up their fellow man as best as they can….as do you but in this forum are you really making a good case for that?

  • Tigger

…I won’t wait for that answer so let’s try some facts this country and the way of life started out by our forefathers was based on the premise that we shoiuld be able to worship our creator as we see fit. Now if you think you are your own creator ( and I wanna watch that) you are entitled…but you cannot interfere with others rights and insult them with impunity. We also insist in this country ( until the ‘progressives’ take it over) That the government and the people en masse may not take others rights away, or our own. Also any thing made or used by men may be polluted…that would include you too. So explain how you who are polluted will get yourself filtered and pure and how you will know the difference?!

  • anisa

I have been reading all that’s been said to here and one thing amazes me,my Christian brothers and sisters, and that is …”Where’s the LOVE”?? Didn’t Jesus say to LOVE the Sinner HATE the sin??? Since we are ALL sinners then we need to LOVE everyone no matter if they are black, white, yellow, red or brown; gay or straight; young or old; and most importantly Christian or NOT. I don’t see anything that even has a smidgen of love in it except for Justin. If you don’t agree with mobileman fine let him know why, show him the difference between Religion and Christianity. From what I’ve read and understand from various teachers….the definition of Christian is “LITTLE Christ or Christlike” Would Christ called mobileman the names he’s been called here??? I think not Come on all here to claim to be Christians show the LOVE, show that Christ lives in you
I will not apologize for what my brothers and sisters have said….they need to do that. I will say to you, mobileman, that Jesus loves you and wants to spend eternity with you. I also say with love that I respect you and your views, don’t agree with them, but respect you RIGHT to have them, express them, and believe them. I also say I’m sadden by the people here that are acting not as Christians but as something else altogether.

  • Dave

I noticed the same thing. I have been praying for Mobilemann for a couple days now. His soul counts. I hope he keeps asking questions and people like you are there for him. Thanks for being faithful.

  • Dave

Mobilemann, I believe the Bible and in it, Jesus says “I am the way the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.” John 14:6 Because I believe this, I don’t have to worry about the “what if” that you are asking about. I tried living the way of the world and I found that it leads to emptiness and death. In Galatians 6:14, the Bible says “May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through
which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” You see, I reject those behaviors and religions that lead to death. I’m not rejecting you as a person. I have four gay friends for crying out loud. They are really nice people, but that doesn’t mean I accept their lifestyle. I tell them about Jesus every time I get the chance, and they put up with me because they know I care about them. Heck, one of the Lesbians is a nurse and she saved my son’s life. And I’m going to hate her? No! I can’t agree with her lifestyle and be a witness for the righteousness of a Holy God. God is Holy. Culture never trumps a Holy God. Never did, never will. If I go and tell you I agree with these things, I am doing an injustice to you because I’m a false witness (liar) misrepresenting My Holy God. I would be a double minded man (two faced). the Bible says “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” James 1:8 Instead, I choose stability and truth as written in the Bible. By the way, I am really glad we are having this discussion. I am glad you are questioning me. I’m not sure how telling you a misrepresentation would be compassionate. I should rather love you enough to tell you the truth. I hope this makes some sense to you. Please keep the dialog going. I don’t hate you.

  • Dave

    Glad you are here Justin.

  • gingermicah

mobilemann, reading your posts (as a Christian) I largely have to agree with you. Far too many Christians are judgmental (as you can see here) and don’t act as we are told to (or we can toss out the WWJD bit). I however do not appreciate you, or many atheists (guessing by your responses) to which I speak with and am friends with, blanket us all as Bible thumbing, finger pointing, gay/other religion/whatever sect you choose type of people. Some of us choose make clear our point of view, as the Robertson’s did here, and that is that. No one is shoving anything down your throat or going door to door bugging you. They didn’t make you watch this and get on here and get upset or start putting down other’s views. It is you who started this road to pointing fingers. So please step off of your high horse and let people exercise their first amendment rights.

To leave on this note and to you prior comment: ‘I pray you will be saved one day too, and realize you yourself have the power to make good moral decisions without a deity.’

While you’re doing fine, there’s some people and I
Who have a really tough time getting through this life
So excuse us while we sing to the sky. – Twenty One Pilots

Sorry to those that act to be superior and put other’s down for finding a way to which they make it through this life.

  • scootr1295

Um, Anisa, didn’t Jesus, meek and mild, tell ordinary people of His day, “unless you repent, you will perish”? Didn’t He tell the woman caught in adultery, “go and sin no more?” And when the day of judgment comes, He will tell a lot of people, “depart from me for I never knew you.”

Don’t get me wrong. We are to love others. But, define love. I’m afraid that Christians have done the world a real disservice by adopting the world’s definition of love. Jesus defined love this way, “keeping my commandments.” And by the way, Jesus never said, “love the sinner and hate the sin.” That’s right up there with “God helps those who help themselves,” which is also not in the Bible.

The problem is that Christians are so afraid of the wrath of man and so unafraid of the wrath of God. It is the privilege and responsibility of the Christian to be salt and light. Our problem is that if we lose our saltiness by totally accepting all lifestyles and everything God calls an abomination and then saying that “God says it’s ok,” then we have lost our saltiness. Jesus said when that happens then we are not good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

The issue is NOT how a Christian feels about something. The issue is NOT how a non Christian feels about something. The issue is how God feels about things. This is HIS world. He made it out of nothing, and He will judge every person who has ever lived. We will all give an account of ourselves to Him, not one another.

Jesus said, “if the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.” If the price for speaking the truth in love is that non Christians hate, let them hate me. I guess I’m in good company. The greatest Man who ever lived was hated as well.

  • Stu Benshoof

To whom or what are you praying to?

  • Stu Benshoof

anisa Jesus never said love the sinner hate the sin,It’s from St. Augustine. His Letter 211 (c. 424) contains the phrase Cum dilectione hominum et odio vitiorum,
which translates roughly to “With love for mankind and hatred of sins.”
The phrase has become more famous as “love the sinner but hate the sin”
or “hate the sin and not the sinner”
    But I understand your point

  • Stu Benshoof

    Yes they are :)

  • rug burn

You just need to listen to Kyrie (especially when the angel comes out of the darkness in at the 2:23 mark, or any song by Mozart here’s the link btw (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuFA3DmglwI) and then tell me there is no God! Then again you would be wasting your time no mater what you say because, I know what I saw when I was a child, and growing up, and I know for a fact, that he is real! I’m not going to judge I just belive you shouldn’t talk of other religions or the people in them no mater what, so you should think about that….

  • Hoove

That’s strange. I have read in the bible that if you experience God and then turn away, you can’t come back. I guess it’s just another case of people thinking they can over ride God and do what they want regardless of what scripture says….

  • Uncle Scratchie

    what if?………………..

  • Carei Ryan Powell

Enlightening. I LOVE this family. Thank God for them!

  • Cristie Landis

what about the prodigal son? that was not in the Bible?? you can always turn back to God Paul saide “I die daily” meaning he has to repent so since God can not look on sin and Paul sinned …. and what about King David he was a man after God’s own heart and he broke every one of the 10 Commandments read Psalms 51 its his prayer to be forgiven

  • Sandy Moran

Some days I feel sorry for believers. On other days, I feel sorry for myself because I am not one. I guess it depends on what kind of believer I am talking to or reading about. Some are wonderful, others are horrible. If you have religious faith, and you are a good person who does not hate others, then I envy you, and wish I could be more like you, because your faith is a gift. But if you hate people who are different from you because of their religion or skin color, then I do feel sorry for you.

  • Gary W. Searing

I absolutely love this show. They are regular people like everyone else. Listening to Jep brought tears to my eyes. And to hear Phil confess his life before God is great.

  • notoftenhere

Thank you for this reply to mobileman. Too many responses are angry, and it is easy to become angry and someone who is closed to the truth. I have been at fault of doing this and I realize that it shows those who express their anger in their responses to such sad, lost souls. You responded as the apostle Paul would have and I thank you very much.

Buddy you are just being a hater and nothing more. I am an athiest myself but the moment you take your views and attempt to tear down someone elses you cease to be your own person and became a tyrant bully. People have a right to their own truth. If following their god gives them to direction they need to be a better person who the hell are you or me or anyone else for that matter to nay say it. I think the opening line of “christians. thank f**k you idiots…” could have been seen as bashing, don’t you think?

  • Dave

That was a nice thing to say, and very encouraging. God’s not done with me yet either, but I hope he uses me to win souls, because when it’s all said and done, that’s the only thing that really counts. You should see….I have a list of these internet guys that I pray for. God is faithful, and each of these commenters here are real people with lives in all kinds of distress. Sometimes when I think about what my life was before Christ, well, I ache for guys like Mobilemann. I think Jesus said it best in John 14:27- ” Peace
I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth,
give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be
    afraid. Have a great evening!

  • Julie Brock

It was the “religious” people who killed Christ. He isn’t looking for religious people. Jesus came to save those who are lost. None of us are perfect, we never will be. Jesus doesn’t like spiritual pride…those who think they are better than others because they are “Christian”. He said that those who need a physician are those who are sick, not those who are well. He IS the great Physician. He takes us as we are and molds us into His image. You will know who is a real Christian by the fruit they bear…by the love they show. God LOVES the sinner but he doesn’t love the sin! He isn’t up in heaven just waiting to strike people down! He desires for each and every one of us to have a relationship with Him. Some of the comments on here from people who state they are Christian were very disappointing. Those are the ones who give Christianity a bad name and turns people away from Christ! It’s like telling a person who is a prostitute, or an adulterer, or (insert whatever sin) that they cant come to their church. What is the purpose of the church then. I know God is real because He lives within my heart! I have felt His presence, He has healed my body before when doctors couldn’t, He saved my son when he was child and ran a fever of 107.3, my God is real! And yes, that was his temperature! I about fainted as I watched on the monitor at the clinic his temperature going up and up and up until it gave that as the final reading. Cold towels were placed on him and steam was coming off of him. Today, he is a healthy, normal 23 year old man. You would expect brain damage but there was no lasting effects on him. That’s God!!! None of us deserve Him and I’m thankful that He doesn’t give me what I deserve! That’s why I can love somebody who doesn’t see things the way I do…I used to be one of those people! Were it not for the grace of God, I would be lost and without hope. Through Christ, I have hope! I know He’s real because I feel Him in my soul!!! My prayer is that He will send somebody your way who can truly show you the love of Christ.

  • Julie Brock

This truly touched my heart. It is an awesome thing to see how the Lord changes lives around. I know He changed my life!!!

  • chellethesouthernbelle

I believe it’s worded that way because it does reveal the darker side…human nature’s capacity to sin…the darkness that is within each of us, and more so for those who do not live to please the Lord.

  • chellethesouthernbelle

i’m just wondering who you pray to…

  • mobilemann

Welcome to the internet. This blog is just a conservative shit rag, filled with the worst kind of people america has to offer. I trolled here only after seeing post after post of racism by people who couldn’t spell racism (i literally had one dude, respond to me no less than 3 times, not understanding the difference between racist, and raciest.)

    So i trolled, because the christian right did at one point have such power over this country that they could swing elections;

and you know what, I am truly grateful they are a fading power, as the traditional party that side with is currently divided, and utterly ridiculous.

Only after, when about 2 real christians responded to me, (in a way that christians would) Did i think (there are real moderates here, and i’m not just trolling racist idiots) which is when i started just talking to people.

Judge me for whatever you want, i’m just another voice, but just to be clear here; i said something along the lines of: “thank god they don’t control anything anymore” which is clearly NOT: “stop being christians”. So if you would so kindly remove your words from my mouth (something bullies do, that i’ve had to ask people to refrain from at least 20 times) I would be appreciative. Kids.

  • mobilemann

I’m glad that you’ve found comfort, and i’m glad your faith is strong. While I feel that it’s still not my path, it’s good to see more Christians acting like they proclaim to, so in a way you’ve upped my faith, less in the religion, more in the people ;)

  • mobilemann

absolutely, but please note at the time, i was originally responding to people who were using racial epithets in every sentence, people who couldn’t even spell racist. and to be clear, and i’m still incredibly grateful that the bible belt is a fading force in politics. It should be.

What i didn’t count on was the some of the readership from this ridiculous conservative blog as being quite normal.

It’s a mixed bag. I’m amped that there are some good Christians replying, however i’m scared that they believe what they read on this blog, and are influenced by it’s many, many, bigoted commenters.

After such language you say you are going to pray for people? Hypocrite!

  • mobilemann

if you can’t pray for people after using filthy language, about 80% of this forum telling me they are christian are full of crap. How do you know my religion (let’s just say for a hypothetical, i’m a pastafarian) doesn’t allow cursing? Do you know what a hypocrite is?

  • A2theB2

Religion has done more to ruin Christianity in this world than some of Satan’s own schemes. Those caught up in the checklist of legalistic ‘rights & wrongs’ miss the opportunity to share Christ with this world because the ‘rule keeping’ outweighs the Ruler. “Love Me…Love others” is what He asked of us. Seems like a Simple message given by a simple carpenter, yet many want to make it WAY more complex. Don’t get me wrong, there is in need in this country/world for those to stand in the gap & let those living in blatant sin to be reached out to & taught the carpenter’s message. But going after someone like a shark during a feeding frenzy is not going to bode well if you follow your ‘attack’ with “Jesus Love You.” Show His love in how you treat them, then share His Good News, as you build a relationship with them. I don’t know where you are in your faith journey…but I know I grew up in a legalistic church & that kind of environment caused more bitterness than good. I am now in a church family where sharing, showing & living a life of loving service to others is our focus. Yeah sure we still have those that are ‘rule keepers’ and are quick to let you know if you have broken one, but you are going to have that anywhere you chose to worship. Ya just smile at them & wink as you say, “Thank you for letting me know…sure glad the blood of Jesus paid my debt on that one!” I hope you don’t let others “Christianity” block you from having a relationship with a Savior that paid that debt for you too!

  • mobilemann

While i’m happy you have your faith, i have to disagree with some big parts of your argument. I also say this with a ton of hope. I’m a massive, massive fan of the new pope, and honestly, i see him as one of the major people saving the reputation of the church, and all with actions.

“Those caught up in the checklist of legalistic ‘rights & wrongs'”

what like, ignoring the persecution of so many types of people, homosexuals etc? You have to learn from past aggressions, not pretend they don’t exist.

“Seems like a Simple message given by a simple carpenter, yet many want to make it WAY more complex.”

no, the vast majority of christians belong to sects that take these messages to far, and take the bible on every word literally, but that’s christianity fighting christianity, not religion fighting it.

  • mobilemann

moblemann, Your not very wise. If you can here this and make the comments that you share , I am going to pray for you and your salvation. People as yourself have no clue of your future. We as Christians just want the best for people. We love everyone and want to help others to obtain what we have.
We don’t hate non -believer’s as you hate us. You can hate us that’s your right, but you will never stop us from loving you and praying for you. God Bless you!

  • Tyler

Moblieman I see that you like to troll, it must entertain you. I also noticed that you have used the quote ” welcome to the internet” as if you define it ok to bash and wish hate upon others who you should be trying to save and enlighten instead. you also stated” you can’t insult people with impunity on a online message board filled with bigots, zealots and racists? Are you new, to the internet? lol.” This statement tells me that you take joy in what is wrong with todays world, and accept the cultural degeneration and hate that the internet is showing us. I pray for you that one day God shows himself to you and strikes you blind, just as he did with saul who would kill christians in mass genocide until one day God struck him blind for a month and made him see the error of his ways. He then took up the name Paul as he was reborn, and became one of the greatest apostles. Now when you read this do not
think that i am writing in anger or hate. When i say strikes you blind i only mean that you find our lord and savior Jesus Christ. I will not be phased in what you respond back, it will only lead me to pray harder for you. May God bless you and lead you to the light and happiness.

Wow, such explosions on both sides. Honestly. Who cares about labeling who did what worse? Is it that big of a pissing contest? The fact of the matter is, BOTH religions led to killing in the name of a god at one point or another.

The crusades were not the only time the ‘dirtless’ christians killed in the name of their god, lets not forget the witch trials to name one, and if you say that they do not kill gays, I beg to differ, I’ve lost friends to gay bashers who claimed they were doing god’s work.

Both (read: all) religions, at their extremes, are horrible things. At their CORE, they are very similar and as Phil showed, can be very good things. Love one another, stay decent, don’t do this list of ‘bad things’ and worship some big guy above all else.
The fact of the matter is people take their own religious texts Too literally, rather than using the text for the lessons they teach. Some people need to have that ‘fear’ that they have to answer to something for the bad things they may do. Ok…thats great! We all need someone to answer to to keep our ‘dark sides’ in check. “should i kick this puppy?” nah, it would hurt it and then I would get frowned on by the big guy(or girl). Ok no kicking puppy. Even Pagans, those supposedly heathen evil folk (not!) have rules that they live by to keep them in check. It’s a sociological teaching method, nothing more. It teaches us how to behave with one another better than just saying “ok kids, run and go play!” with no supervision or guidelines on what NOT to do.

Now..my biggest beef? the people who take their ‘rule book’ aka the bible, quaran, etc.and rip it into theoretical confetti, pluck a few pieces out and say LOOK! these are law and I must make sure you ALL follow it or you will BURN! Without following the rest themselves. Guys, every one has their own rulebook. some are in print, some are word of mouth, some line up, some don’t.

It boils down to one simple rule. PLAY NICE and don’t wreck yourself in the process. Can we all please just follow that one rule? the world will be a much happier place if nobody gave a squat about what version or release date everyone else’s rule book was, or even who the author was.

  • Amanda Miller

I am an Atheist, and your post STILL disgusts me! You say in a later post something about being capable of making good decisions without a deity. Obviously you lack this. Your taste in the post was very POOR! If you are out to prove that Atheists can be good people too, you definitely screwed the pooch with that idiocy! I am not a Christian by an definition of the term, but I love this show. I also think that anyone that is offended by this beautiful family’s choice of lifestyle and prayer is an uptight idiot, and they need to go back to Camel-country where they belong!

  • mobilemann

    Aww Tyler, that’s cute.

As for striking back, i’d just say that i pity you; Yes i stirred things up, but i’ve more than struck conversation with a few good christians, and probably reminded a ton of bigots, racist, and religious zealots how close minded they are.

Also, it’s not very christian to put words in people’s mouths. please quote my direct words, instead of your interpretation of what i said, as sometimes, especially with such differing ideologies, stuff get’s lost in translation.

You’re right that i don’t mind trolling, but trolling itself can be thought provoking. This forum though, is a waste, the overwhelming majority of christians who post here spew hate for simple things, like different skin, different origin, different ideology, different religion. This leads me to naturally question the authenticity of this incredibly recent wave of good christians, in this cesspit.

(i think a few people are putting on a show, to make me believe that christian values are actually valued.)

  • mobilemann

i agree, now to convince the 100 or so religious zealots, racists, and idiots on this forum.

  • mobilemann

god forbid anyone should question your rhetoric.

  • mobilemann

Amanda, for one thing, i’ve said 3 times in this thread, that i’m not an atheist, or muslim. Cause you know, i’ve been called a muslim for not being a christian about 35 times here.

Also, you aren’t an atheist. At best you are an agnostic like I am, but you know what sucks? You’re fake.

No atheist would be offended on behalf of the christians, and follow it up with:

“they need to go back to Camel-country where they belong!”

If you, @disqus_qbbuI3PvfG:disqus are too stupid to see this, than i have no words but:
    what a dumb cunt.

  • mobilemann

Thing is, i’ve learned nothing of a practical nature from christianity. I understand the rules, and they are good rules for generally being a good person (wish more people here followed them)

However, i truly believe the majority of my learning, information comes from science. Thanks for coming back warmly.

  • mobilemann

brad, if you think obama is supporting al-qaeda, you’re a nut bag.

  • mobilemann

mike, if you think i hate you, you haven’t read my posts. Continue to spew doctrine while ignoring that actual words of others. After all, you know better:D

  • mobilemann

Dinosaurs, how do they work? (man no one from this board will understand that reference besides you mike. )

  • Yvonne Mem

I doubt you even believe in God. Still, shame on you!

  • mobilemann

I doubt you’re even a good christian. Still, shame on you!

  • Tyler

I did quote your exact words mobileman. I copy and pasted your exact words from your previous posts.

  • mobilemann

    No, you didn’t.

  • Kala Harbinger

Good luck on that one honestly, Closed mind = open mouth. Those of us with open minds, and open hearts tend to let people do what makes them happy, unless they are hurting themselves in the process. I’m glad the guy spoke to Phil, to turn his life around. He needed it. Now, I do not like when people walk up to me or anyone else for wearing jewelry and be told we are going to burn in hell, and demand we accept jesus, just because they don’t like it.

  • Anonymous

Another example of a Christian who is too lazy to work for the good, get off his ass and defend Christianity instead of asking mobilemann not to hate.

  • Anonymous

I’m a Christian, your sad. I don’t want anyone such as you representing Christianity if you head straight for the good book, do you know what General Revelation. Do you know what the ultimate good is, probably not, because you and many other Christians slack off, instead of working for the good. Can you disprove evolution? I prove Christianity, using contradictions. I would love if you would start by making connects about: First, Is there a God? Is there one God, is God spirit? Is God female or male? it’s stuff like that most Christians don’t know. I was fortunate to have a teacher at my private school that led me into the knowledge. i often regret I am unable to give people this knowledge, but I try as much as I remember.

Just who are in numbers to control votes? Last I checked, it was anyone and everyone who decided to vote, no matter their denomination, or religious views. As for me, I don’t “self identify” to anything. I’m just a simple child of God. I do not pertain to any one religion, rather I take what I feel to be true from many different religions, and those are the beliefs I practice. As far as the “bible belt” you speak of, I steer very clear from it and anything to do with it, as I believe most that live within said “bible belt” and speak proudly of such, are hypocrites. They say one thing, then do another. Reminds me of one such person, the name escapes me at the moment, but he’s very much rather fond of saying one thing to his “followers” and then going into the back and doing something completely opposite. I follow no one, I lead. The only one true following that I do, is to my God and my beliefs. And yes, I say my God because as I’m sure you’re very well aware of, many people follow their own beliefs and their own God or Gods/Goddesses, whatever.

But, let me just say this to you: May God bless you and keep you in his heart and arms forever from this day forward and bring many good tidings to you and your loved ones.

Have a BLESSED day, and GOD BLESS AMERICA, for one day He will come, and I pray that only the evil will suffer His wrath.

Merry Christmas to you as well. :)

So you don’t want Christians heading for God’s word? I don’t understand. Please explain General Revelation and ultimate good to me. Can you clarify? I do have the answers to those questions you noted. Who do you contradict when you prove Christianity? I don’t defend God, or his Holy Word. He’s God! He defends himself. My God is a very big and powerful God, and I am undone completely when I contemplate His power, strength, and righteousness. He directs the universe, and holds atoms together. I hope and pray that he uses me, but all glory and honor goes to Him. I’m nothing compared to Him, but yet He loved me enough to be crucified and die as my substitute, taking my sins on himself, so that I might one day exalt Him eternally. I’m not the Holy Spirit either, although I have received a spiritual re-birth and I crave quiet time in the Bible where I pray and the Holy Spirit shows me things about how I should be, and what I could do to make situations right in my daily existence (all from the words of the “good book”). Do you want me to go over the attributes and character of God for the people here? I can do that. I share what I know about how good it is to walk by faith and be a new creature, forgiven, walking daily in the Word. I’m not the best man out there, but I do try to share Christ when the opportunity presents itself. I also realize that I will be judged according to the standard with which I judge others. I discern good from evil, based on what I know of it from the Holy Bible, but I try to leave the judging to God. He is the final arbiter. I also pray for my enemies. I want them to get saved too. Unfortunately, many will, and already have rejected God. The Bible says so. It’s a Biblical Truth! Hating them isn’t going please God. But leaving out hellfire and the damnation that awaits them does them no service and it is lying about biblical truth. Our existence is for real and not a game. We all have eternal souls. The question is, where will their eternity be? They need Him, and either don’t know it, or have chosen to refuse Him. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I will consider them, but I’m not sure where to start. Could you give me a Bible reference or passage to direct me? Light my path! I would very much appreciate it. I hope you can help me to understand. If your wisdom came from the Bible, I want to know it and apply it. If it’s the wisdom of man, well, maybe you will let me share some of that “good book” stuff with you!

Sure, but it really isn’t simple as those who have had many come before, we should be held more accountable than our predecessors. But I have received General revelation(for all man, the creation reveals God’s Power, Justice, and Mercy) and Special revelation(given only to a few, such as a prophecy, scripture, or teaching). The Special Revelation I received was a 2 year long course in 7th and 8th grade bible. It is not as simple to teach you since I do not have quite the time or materials to teach you. But if you would like to know more search keywords: Creation,Fall,Redemption,Spiritualmonism,Naturalmonism,General Revelation,Special Revelation,’The Good’,Knowledge of God,Fideism,Skepticism, and Analysis of God’s revelation.
I hope all I am able to really help you with does.

  • Dave

Thank you for getting back to me. I copied the information and will check it out. I often wish I had the benefit of your early education. Getting saved out of the worldly lifestyle is something of a miracle for me, and I’m very grateful to God for the indwelling Holy Spirit, and saving assurance. Yet, I am really playing “catch-up” to learn the words and titles put on this miraculous “new creature in Christ” thing that has happened in my life. It looks like I have a lot of homework to do. I’m going to ride to the Creation Museum in Petersburg Kentucky in 2014 for some answers on creationism. Still, I see so many hurting and misguided people all around me, I’m going to tell them about Jesus from where I’m at now (while I learn what I missed in education) because there are no guarantees they are going to be around another day. I want them to know about Jesus and what he did in my life. I’m very grateful for the one man who sat down with me and shared a Bible Tract with me and it just suddenly dawned on me that I needed Jesus in my life….and that has made all the difference. Listen, I really appreciate you taking time to write back to me. Maybe that’s your special gift of ministry! Have a good evening!

No problem, I agree that it is sad how many Christians are affected by secularism. One example such as gay marriage: The difference between man and woman is not necessarily physical, man is born creative, while women are born with a nurturing personality. If you were to ask, “What Gender is God?” I would answer you both. God is not physical so I am not calling him some she-man I am saying God created, and continues to nurture his creation. Marriage is a holy bringing together of man and woman to create and nurture. But when you have to nurturers, or two creators it dishonors the sacredness of marriage. If you are gay, you are simply denying your own human nature. That being said, it is sinful. It’s stuff lke this that are deeper than you think, in which we can find answers. The problem is only about 0.5% of Christians try and find answers. But trying to find answers by yourself is like doing a search party in a forest by yourself. Although God tends to give what I call Special Revelation, and others tend to find things out better than you, or you than others, because you have a separate worldview(experiences or beliefs having an effect on your interpretations on life and everything), you may be quicker to answers. I would love if you would try and find a church that actually cares about Christian philosophy. There are some out there, but they may be hard to find. I am still looking for one. One more thing I want to just clarify is, our life is not predetermined by God. This confuses many Christians but a possible answer I thought of is: our all knowing God did not determine us, but simply already know what we were going to choose. Here is a faulty answer on this called The Free-Will Solution. I hope you are faithful in thought, thank you for taking time to listen to me(not many people do).

  • Dave

I totally agree with you about searching this whole wide world for Biblical truths alone- how hard that could be. I searched and searched to get into a church that spends a LOT of time looking at scripture. The main-line denominations seem to be guarded about looking at other Christian church views. I wanted a church with less fluff and more Bible Study. I go to a men’s Bible Study that has really been a source of support and encouragement. I’m trusting that passage that says that if I seek God, He will reveal himself to me. I know something VERY real and VERY life changing happened to me when I committed what’s left of my life to Christ. It was and still is somewhat beyond my comprehension why God would want anything to do with a bar fly like me, not to mention how the desire for alcohol just disappeared. But afterward, the questions about what in the world happened there start to arise…. I’m thinking John Calvin and Jacobus Arminius were both right, but too narrow, not allowing for the possibility that God is big enough to save people, present and future because he knows the present and future. And that human “Free Will” design that God chose not to interfere with in Eden still has a special place in God’s plan. Truths were revealed to both of these guys. I go to a Bible Church that went into this study in depth. We looked at the Hebrew and Greek words. The final consensus was that God’s ways are so profoundly higher than ours that we aren’t able to fully understand how both could be correct when in apparent opposition, yet aspects of both are supported by scripture. Our pastor felt these weren’t contradictions, but rather, aspects of the Arminian and Calvinist views are placed in scripture… for all time so guys like me could (if only dimly) could get a glimpse into the possibilities given by a vastly infinite, Holy, and merciful God, who clearly loved us enough to send his Son to die in our place. When a guy like me meets God, with all his high attributes, It’s hard to
understand how that “free will” that He gave us fits into a Holy
design. I tried to fire up what’s left of my brain cells and read more deeply into scripture than ever before, so I guess that purpose was served in my life. In the end, my church takes parts of both positions as one, owing it to God being big enough to do whatever he wants, and the opposition being a human failure of understanding, or narrowness disallowing the possibility of the other. We tried to find examples of each position, compared and contrasted them. The two old scholars are probably both correct but too narrow to allow for the possibility of the other (if that makes any sense). The only point that my church completely disagreed with was the Arminian
belief that… once saved, a person could loose his salvation. My church opposes the Arminian view which says you can lose salvation. Christ’s work was a perfect sacrifice, leaving no room for a mere man to take any action that would somehow corrupt that sacrifice. Because it was Paul wrote the book of Romans and Arminius took a lot of his argument from it, we figured that we should listen to him when he said we should be united 1 Cor 1:10 and as Jesus said in his prayer for unity in John 17. So…we major on the majors and minor on the minors with a footnote that says God can do anything he wants, because, after all, he is God. You know, I don’t get why anybody wouldn’t listen to what you write here. I thoroughly enjoy reading your work. I think you have a gift, and God will use you here. It’s plain that you have knowledge and I’m glad you got out there to share. You should keep posting. This whole topic is fascinating. Regarding the gay lifestyle, everyone goes straight to the Jewish Law in Leviticus, but I found where Jesus says, (in Matthew 19, I believe), that marriage should be between a man and a woman. He actually quotes Genesis 1, pointing to creation of both sexes, and says that what God has joined, no man should destroy, pointing to God’s authority over marriage.

(Marriage is A Covenant). I really haven’t done an in-depth study of it yet, but I really should if I want to answer tough questions from the gay community. I was thinking that if one of my gay friends was to get saved, God would work in his heart and life the same way he dealt with my drinking. Darkness can’t exist where there is light ( John 3:19 and 12:46). Anyway, it is getting late and I have to get up early. Once again, Thank you for sharing!

Great job man, I was hoping someone would listen to me for once, your post inspires me to try and get other to stop and think. I am glad you found a good place for yourself to be and hope you continue in your study. I am almost in tears that you are now seek knowledge of God. I’ll pray for you daily now, and I barely know you. :)

It is clear that you know NOTHING about the Bible or Jesus. Jesus is NOT some proto-hippie that leads leads people in song and dance and has open arms for all types of filth, The Blood of Christ (getting saved) cleanses you and gets you right with him BUT Christ commands that you walk away from the sin that you were in.

  • Randy Young III

SIn matters. Try that when you meet Christ!

  • mobilemann

Oh the irony that you think you’re a good Christian.

  • SUSN

You definetly have NO respect for anyone!…Plus your post didn’t make sense! Why Are You SO Upset?

Said what I had to say. Everything you do comes back to you in some way or another. Dont be naive to think that trolling is just a fun way to stir up the shit and go back to your life. Everything has a cause and effect. Chain reaction that will circle back to the one who started it in ways you likely will never even realize. What you put out there in the world comes back to you. Just keep that in mind.

  • mohawkman

kind sir; i base my beliefs on a mix of old and new testament as well as Buddhist and Taoist teachings, for me at least it boils down to the golden rule; which by reading the first comment i saw of yours you would do well to adopt. if you are an athiest why would you be praying, and to whom? do you say “merry christmas”?, ever? than you sir are a hypocrite and none of your points hold any validity. i HOPE you see the error of your ways and start acting toward those that would slight you how you might like to be acted toward. it might just have a positive effect

  • mobilemann

Funny, from what I’ve read on Buddhism, they wouldn’t call someone a hypocrite over saying ‘merry Christmas’ but maybe that’s the Christian side of you?

    What a joke

  • mobilemann

The fact that you bring up the old “I have black friends” except in this case they are “gay” (and the fact that it brought more than 0 upvotes, lol) Just show what a backwards ass forum this is.

I understand you probably don’t get what the “i have black friends” argument is, but i encourage you to google it, or read the satire site linked about, that explains it to some degree.

  • Dave

I’m running out of time on this earth and I wanted to share what I thought was important before I go. I was just hoping to share something I thought was of importance. Sorry it equates to the black friends thing. By the way, my best friend died November 23rd 2013. He was black, but I just saw him as the best friend a person could ever have. I guess that’s foolish these days – to have a black friend and be white. I won’t have to worry about it any more anyway. I’ll be glad when I’m free of all this crazy worldly nonsense. I hope your day is better than mine was.

  • N. Roden

This family is awesome. I love their ideals…

I will pray for you mobilemann, I hope the Lord can help you find what is inside you that makes you you feel so angry. God Bless you.
