Gay Marriage and the Real Reason the Government Wants It

There’s been a big push by liberals and Government to allow for gay marriage. Do you want to know the real reason behind this push? At least from the side of the Government?

According to a report from The Heritage Foundation, the new ObamaCare places a heavy tax on legally married couples- one that is averted by couples who merely co-habitate. The text below was taken from the report:

“One bizarre feature of the Senate-passed health care bill is its pervasive bias against marriage. Under the bill, couples would face massive financial penalties if they marry or remain married.

Conversely, couples who cohabit without marriage are given highly preferential financial treatment. If the Senate bill becomes law, saying “I do” would cost some couples over $10,000 per year.”

So, there you have it. More proof that if you thought Government might actually be on your side, it’s only because they have reason to be.

The love of money is the root of all evil! That is apparent in this current administration!!

  • Audra Fried

Is it money? I’m not so sure, the stipulation in Obamacare may be more geared to destroying the family unit than adding to it. I guess it’s a win, win, for them either way.

  • Michael J. Simmons

Uh.. Duh! We’ve know that for a long while now. More Married people means more tax’s.

The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.

The oblama administraion pretends to be for the lowly individual with all kinds of “help” and “aid”(healthcare, financial, oblama phones, food stamps etc….) its main goal is a two level society of the rich and the absolute dependent(the poor). This administration has absolutely no interest in a society with a strong middle class. When it reaches its goal of total dependence then the rug will be pulled out from under all who fell for this scheme and its then and only then that the poor and the liberal left will see that they’ve dupped. And some will still support him. Him being oblama and his close knit group of friends and your NOT one of them people. America needs a healthy middle class or there will be no more America as we no America. Wake up America demand jobs no oblama hand outs.

Obama made me a Libertarian, and I have change my views of what should be allowed. They should be as unhappy as married straight couples, and drugs keep them ignorant, anyway. The problem is they will always vote for Democrats.

this one is simple… i think… the NWO wants to have a one world religion? so they have to eliminate all the other ones… by maing it more expensive for married couples, ppl will just stop getting married, and that means less and less people will go to a church and become that much less in need of the religion… just a thought who the fuck knows really but its all a big scheme but i dunno

  • Robert Peterson

It won’t cost me anything for being married I’ve exempted myself from this law and this Government. Don’t think that’s possible? Come and get it!!

  • Iron Tub

I too have exempted myself due to my beliefs.( I don’t believe I want to)

As in other countries…the poor live in hovels and sell vegetables and fruits in the streets to survive…while…less than a mile away the cities are alive and thriving with modern buildings and cars and water and electricity…plenty of grocery stores and malls and restaurants and airports.
In war times in the Muslim countries, those areas where the poor are the ones that get bombed and go without electricity and food….no one can believe that the enemies only live in the poor areas…the wealthy use the poor to do their dirty work for them….Does the USA want to live under these and more severe extremes of humility???? Watch it happen in near future as promised by Obama.

I’m going to say pride is the root of all evil. But the preoccupation with the idea that money brings significance through material possessions, the illusion of control, or a sense of power is definitely a great means by which the problem is seen.

Money may be a factor, but this totally neglects the shift into the humanist worldview which says that truth and right and wrong are purely subjective and based on the individuals interpretation of things. Considering that worldview has become a predominant decision making force in liberalism, libertarianism, and even taking some hold in conservatism, I think there is a predominant push for the legalization of gay marriage because this is just another aspect of humanism.
Ultimately I really don’t think it matters a whole hell of a lot anymore because those opposed to gay marriage have, for the most part, done a piss poor job in expressing why they feel that way in a manner that is not easily spun into hate/fear-mongering.
Also, since The United States Government is not a theocracy, to the dismay of many, morality is completely subject to the society that the government is made up of an represents and since this country has forsaken the Constitution and Bill of Rights as the governing authority, dropping the First Amendment to the law of “Omg I’m offended by that” there opportunity for ridiculous laws based not on majority vote but the feelings of a minority will increase.
Frankly I couldn’t care less about gay marriage being legal or not, I have yet to hear a very good argument against it and I don’t agree with many of the laws or socially acceptable standards in our society, it’s kind of a moot point. Granted, I do think it is totally ridiculous that the CA Supreme Court used “loop holes” to explain away Prop 8, there by destroying the constitutional right to vote and decide, but that’s kind of a whole different topic.

All in all, it doesn’t really matter. This country’s moral compass has ceases to function and we’ve jumped out of the hand basket (it obviously wasn’t going fast enough) and are free falling into moral, legal, and subjective obscurity.

You may have dodged this law, but the collapse is still coming.
I wish I could laugh about it.

  • Had it with the BOTH of you!

What drugs? How do you know ‘they’ vote democatic? Did ‘ they’ tell you?

  • Raiddan

Part of might be money but other part has to do with population control.

  • Alex

According to some of you… gays vote only democrats but I’ll let you in a little secret, not all gays vote democrats. I’m gay and I did not vote democratic in fact I’m republican and my family say that I’m extremely conservative which I agree with them, I am!! I support the Tea Part Patriots!! And the government shouldn’t legalize gay marriage for only that purpose and if this thing is true that they fine married couples then that is very messed up of them to include that!!

Can’t make through a whole paragraph without dropping the f-bomb? No wonder no one cares what you think.

  • John Fah-q Smith

“I actually” know some people of this persuasion, “you” apparently don’t…

  • John Fah-q Smith

You are one of the few, and I am happy to have you on the pro-American team…too. :)
