Al Sharpton Target of Petition To MSNBC and Sponsors – Demand Firing
The tables have been turned. The perpetual race baiting blowhard who has carved a racial hatred media niche and created a hate-based career which includes his own television show, speaking engagements and white house invitations is now finding himself a victim of his own success. The same type of targeting for economic intimidation that he regularly uses to get his way and generate his income are now being used against him.
Historically, if it’s black and bleeds, it’s Al’s moment and he injects himself into the discussion. We’ve all seen it. Sharpton demands a racial based investigation, march, rally or other event, but he always demands attention. Otherwise, if racism can’t be threaded into the story narrative, Al isn’t interested. Let law enforcement and the judiciary handle it.
A group of Americans who are fed up with Sharpton’s divisive attacks on Americans and his self-serving racism have started a petition, which met its 3 month goal of 1,000 signatures within 15 hours. That petition is directed at the sponsors of Sharpton’s MSNBC television program and in particular Mondelez Internation, which owns Ritz Crackers. The intended irony obviously being that Cracker is a racist term used by Sharpton and his ilk to describe white people. White people really like Ritz crackers, as Andy Griffith reminded us for many years.
The petition is available online at truthrevolt.org. At the page on can also find a brief narrative, containing the lowlights of Al Sharpton’s public persona. It paints an accurate and not too attractive picture of the man many Americans resent as a complete self-serving hate monger, and states:
“Al Sharpton is one of the greatest race hoaxers and divisive demagogues of the last half-century. Sharpton is the man whose anti-Semitic language helped stoke the flames of the 1991 Crown Heights riots that resulted in the murder of Yankel Rosenbaum; he is the man whose incitements against a white owned store in Harlem ended with one of his followers torching Freddie’s Fashion Mart, causing a fire that killed eight people; he is a liar who falsely accused a district attorney and five other innocent men of raping 15-year-old Tawana Brawley; he was the leader of the lynch mob that smeared the innocent Duke lacrosse players and the demagogue who helped turn Trayvon Martin into a martyr and George Zimmerman into the target of race-baiting vigilantes.”
This is not the kind of person a major network wants to associate themselves with, of course, but the perverse MSNBC loves him. The downside for them is they also love having sponsors.
The black-hearted Sharpton may be bleeding a little from this direct cut to the lifeline to his wallet, which might be a little lighter after this is attempt at role reversal has run its course.
Trayvon can’t help him out of this mess. And calling a Ritz a cracker, well, that isn’t going to take him very far this time, either.
